The Town of Sprague Senior Center - S.M.I.L.E.R.S. Mission: Be the advocacy group for any/all concerns affecting the health, welfare and quality of life of Senior Citzens.Plan educational and informational programs. Arrange for and carry out social activities such as tours, day trips, annual picnic and Christmas party. Carry out fund raising activities to help support the Smile Program and the Sprague Senior Center. Participate in volunteer service projects. The S.M.I.L.E.R.S. is a membership of seniors of the Town that meet the last Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm in Senior Center located on the second floor of the Sprague Town Hall. The Villa Maria Nursing and Rehabilitation is a 5 star CMS rated facility, privately owned dating back to 1956. Current owners since 1981, the Disco Family operates the 62-bed facility providing services to most private health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and private clients. The Villa Maria Nursing and Rehabilitation services primarily residents of the villages of Plainfield and surrounding communities. At Villa Maria, residents enjoy all of the benefits of a family-owned facility. We offer first class meals including dessert cart days, social events and activities, routine visits for beauty care, two outdoor patios to enjoy sunshine and fresh air, and a professional and caring team ready to care for your loved one’s every need. About: Senior Resources is a private non-profit organization established in 1976 and authorized by the Older Americans Act of 1965 and state statute. We serve as the Area Agency on Aging in Eastern Connecticut. Our service area covers 56 towns located in New London County, Middlesex County, and Windham County as well as a small portion of Tolland County.
Senior Resources is a strong voice for the region’s elderly citizens. Through our involvement at the federal, state and local level we work to enhance the quality of life for older persons. In addition to advocating legislatively, our continuing work with volunteers and citizen groups enables us to spread the word about benefits and services.
We work with a strong, diversified network of community-based agencies to offer a wide range of services and supports. Our community partnerships allow us to meet the needs of our consumers. Our mission is to provide access to information and services to empower adults to live with dignity.

The Ledyard Senior Center is a community-based establishment meant to bring a wealth of activities and social event to people 55 years +. There is something to do for everyone of any age including low cost breakfast and luncheons in our café, exercise classes, games, crafting, health screening, an onsite hairstylist, and so much more! The primary function of the Montville Senior Services Department is to provide assistance, services, referrals, and information to our elderly population and their families, as well as planning, administering, organizing, and supervising all programs and services within the Center. Some of our services include: energy assistance, renter’s rebates, state assistance programs, resource and referrals, Benefits Checks, Medicare, Medigaps, etc. Programs include: computer classes, art classes, creative writing, massage therapy and podiatry services, Zumba classes, yoga & tai chi, chorus, various dance classes, and many, many more! We also offer evening programs such as Cardio Exercise, Zumba, Ballroom Dancing and Zentangle. We offer our own lunch program, which is licensed by the Uncas Health District and is SafeServ certified. We have numerous dinners and special evening events throughout the year.
Preston Senior Center welcomes citizens 60 years of age or older. There is no membership fee assessed for attending our Center. The Center acts as a point of contact for the dissemination of information, referrals and socialization. Many programs and services are available to seniors such as the congregate meal, meals on wheels, craft class, bingo, cards, income tax assistance, lending library, flu shots, blood pressure screening, newsletter…just to name a few! We provide handicapped accessible transportation, free of charge, within a 25 mile radius for weekly shopping trips and routine medical appointments.
Mission Statement: To offer recreational, educational, social, health, and human service programs which are designed to foster independence and community involvement for persons age 55 and older. The Norwich Senior Center was established in 1974. After the construction of the new building in 1994, the name was changed to the Rose City Senior Center. The City of Norwich, Edward and Mary Lord Foundation, Senior Resources-Agency on Aging, and other state and local grants provide funding. Norwich non-profits may rent the Center, at a competitive fee on weekends and evenings, when available. Amenities in this 16,000 square-foot facility include a large dining room, large program room, a commercial kitchen and ample parking. The Building is available for use from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. on the weekends. Weekday use from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visit Website to see if the Center will meet your needs. Inclement Weather Notice If the area experiences bad weather this coming winter, the Senior Center may be closed. Bozrah Senior Center acts as a point of contact for the dissemination of information, referrals and socialization. There is no membership fee assessed for attending our Center. We are open Fridays only. To make a lunch reservation please contact Pam Contino @ 860-917-5672 by 10 a.m. Wednesday’s. Transportation on the Senior Bus is also available.

The LISBON SENIOR CENTER is for vibrant folks looking for a club-like setting that includes socialization activities, trips, classes, information, etc. TRANSPORTATION is available for Lisbon residents for the following: Doctor and dentist appointments; banking; hairdresser or barber; shopping and pharmacy; to the Senior Center, etc. For a ride, call the Senior Center at 860-376-2329 as soon as you have your appointment. For all other rides, call Monday of that week to set up a time with our van driver. LUNCH Restaurant style, made-to-order lunches are served daily at 11:30 am. Always free coffee or tea. HELP is available for paperwork, applications and insurance decisions SERVICES are available for maintaining the health, independence and well-being of our town’s treasured seniors. Our SUNSHINE COMMITTEE sends cards to those who are enduring a loss or who are ill. Call Carolyn at 860-376-9770 with the name and address of those who should receive a card.
Griswold Senior Center provides for the needs of our elderly and disabled by offering a broad range of services in programming that enhance quality of life. Griswold Senior Center has been designated a COMMUNITY FOCAL POINT by Senior Resources Agency on Aging. Our center is open to those age 55 or older, and those who are disabled.
