Building pathways to success for today's students Let's build them together. What makes ReadyCT unique? With many organizations working to improve public education, we have been asked this question many times. It’s a good question, and the answer is baked right into the name: readiness. Learning should be inspired, purposeful and delivered in a way that prepares today’s students for their best possible tomorrow. Toward that end we seek out a wide range of stakeholders similarly interested in ensuring every student has access to high-quality academics together with career-connected learning. We’ve made strides, but there is still much more to do. Today, ReadyCT advocates for Pre-K-12 education policies and practices that advance academic excellence and career-connected learning for all public school students in Connecticut. As the name ReadyCT implies, we are dedicated to preparing students to walk a path toward success – success in college, career, and life! Our affiliation with CBIA works to deepen the education-workforce connection. Learn more here.

The Woman’s City Club of Norwich is a women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer services. We are a nonprofit organization of local women interested in civic, education, and culture.
Known mostly for co-sponsoring the Norwich Native Son Native Daughter Award and awarding scholarships to graduating Norwich Free Academy seniors, the 94-member Woman’s City Club has quietly helped to strengthen local nonprofits and charities with financial support and volunteer hours.
The Club has successfully allocated funding for donations to support various organizations, such as Hospice Southeastern Connecticut, the Rose City Senior Center, St. Vincent de Paul Place, and the Spirit of Broadway Theater.
In addition to its outreach efforts, the club has long been a catalyst for discussion on various social issues throughout its history.
